"Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things."

When my children were little, the Cabbage Patch doll was the toy everyone coveted. So my mother decided she would provide all of my kids with those ugly but popular dolls. My youngest son loved his doll so much that he went everywhere with him. Earl Nevel, as his adoption papers named him, would sneak into our son's back pack. On the daily trek to school his little bald head was always visible as the boys walked together down the road. This doll was such a cause of embarrassment to my oldest son that the doll received a new name from him...Earl the devil. The name stuck. And as you can see, these many years later, I still remember his name.

I love this idea! I posted my kids' favorites on my blog...
