"When I say I want ot photograph someone, what it means is that I'd like to know them. Anyone I know I photograph."
Annie Leibovitz
The camera gives me entrance into a world I would not get to see otherwise. My grandchildren have gotten accustomed to my intrusion into their space...some moments I would not be allowed without a camera's lens. At first permission came because I was their grandmother and maybe still that is the reason,,,but I love seeing their imagination, their silliness and their depth. And though those moments are there every day, through my lens I take the time to breathe them in.
I don't expect my grandchildren to keep a one of the images that now fill up my hard drive or are sprinkled in their homes. I just consider it a privilege to have been part of their world.
I think we would be surprised what images our grandchildren will want...and I know they will want more than one. :)
